Hearing Aid Type IIC

Invisible-in-the-Canal (IIC)

IIC hearing aid are the smallest hearing aid types available, fitting deeply inside the ear canal and completely invisible.

Pros:

  • Nearly invisible when worn.
  • Suitable for mild to moderate hearing loss.
  • Natural sound quality due to deep placement in the ear canal.

Cons:

  • Very small size can be challenging to handle.
  • Limited features due to size.
  • Susceptible to earwax buildup and moisture.
Hearing Aid Type RIC

Receiver-in-the-Canal (RIC)

RIC and RITE hearing aid types have a receiver (speaker) that sits inside the ear canal, while the main body of the hearing aid rests behind the ear.
